Here you will find all the latest news on
the recording of Illusion of ClarityÕs 3rd demo.
ThatÕs right! The wait is over! The band
has finally decided to start recording again.
We will start off by recording the drums
in our rehearsal room/studio.
The guitar and bass will be recorded in
different locations around central Stockholm, as will the vocals.
When the recording is done this log page
will be replaced by a brand new official Illusion of Clarity home page!
So stay tuned for more updates, pictures,
sound clips and movies!
09-04-26:
Today we continued the recording of
vocals. About half of the lead vocals
Of the most epic song was finished.
WeÕre also happy to announce Jimmy Kekonius
as the bandsÕ new bass player. As you may
know Jimmy played with
Anders, Christian and Henrik
in the band Hellstream but left just
before Patrik joined
and Illusion of Clarity was formed.
Jimmy has rehearsed with the band for several
months now
and weÕre really looking forward to our first
gig together!

07-05-06:
Christian is working on some additional
guitars while Anders has just started recording
his parts. Everything is going good, but
somewhat slow, due to a lot of work on his day job.
Sadly we have to report that singer Patrik seem to have got one of those dreadful springtime
colds.
While waiting for it to leave his system
he is working on fine-tuning the vocal arrangements
in terms of lyrics, harmonies and timing.

Good news!!
Christian is almost done with his guitars!
HeÕs done a killer job!!
Today the band gathered for the first time
in a long time. They worked really hard on making
this recording a great one!

Thank you so much for the big interest
shown in the guestbook!!
Sadly we have to report that thereÕs been
some trouble in the
Illusion-camp lately: Anders new computer
didnÕt work properly for quite a whileÉ
Then the Magic Boxes mentioned in the 07-02-03-update below didnÕt work until
Anders and Christian spent another couple
of days on them.
Patrik has been ill as well, so the energy level
has been quite lowÉ
Now, however, everything is working and
the recording of
guitars will begin seriously this weekend!

as Henrik puts
them up!

07-02-03:
After hours and hours of work, the magic
boxes are finally assembled.
The guitars and bass recordings can now
commence.
This is one fine day.

07-01-30:
Today I (Patrik) and Henrik (Pubis)
listened through all of the drums.
We found that no additional recording was
needed.
We also found that the drums sound
awesome! We will edit them as soon as possible.
New short movie also in the editing room!

DAY 4 – 07-01-28:
We (hopefully) finished recording the drums!! On Tuesday Henrik and Patrik are going to check
the material to see if thereÕs a need for any
additional drumming.
The drum sound is without a doubt the best
Illusion has ever had!
With the right mixing itÕs gonna be KILLER!!

DAY 3 – 07-01-27:
A bit delayed we started at around 1600
hours. A few issues with the technical bits and bobs
occurred but after solving them we were finally
under way! The recording started at about 19.00.
Henrik recorded the drums for a third or maybe
half the first song in a couple of hours.

DAY 2 – 07-01-26:
Ola Englund (Subcyde), who
recorded and mixed Ambivalent Existence,
joined up with Henrik
and Patrik in the studio. They put up all the mics for the drums.
A bit of soundcheck
and the boys agreed that the heads on the snare and bass drum had to be changed
before starting the recording tomorrowÉ
